Videos are definitely a new type of 'text' - there is a need to learn how to 'read' videos just as there is the traditional literacy. When you think about the number of videos being created and uploaded to YouTube daily, you can't deny their place in our society. If we are to help students learn, we need to use videos....however, we need to use them effectively and many are not trained how to do so.
